The pen "is" mighty than the sword! Part 3. BILL OF THE LADING

Ok now that you have your Bill of the Lading filled out it's time to compleat it and this could be the hardest part.

 

Things you will need

Red Fox Stamps at least 2 but 10 or more is better.

Two large envelope 8.5 X 14 do not fold your BoL and address it back to yourself or to a close friend on just one of them for now.

A registered mail card with 2 RA number sticker with the same numbers,

and a Certified Mail card from the Post Office.

 

You will need to buy some Red Fox Stamps (Scott 3036), I know what your thinking, what is a Red Fox Stamp? and why? Well the Red Fox Stamp is the only stamp that has assured value, that means it has real GOLD on it, real value. This is a $1.00 stamp but will really cost you about $9.00 or more and there getting harder to find. The $1.00 "assured value" of the Red Fox stamp is very important if you are registering a contract into Admiralty under the provision of the Universal Postal Union. You should buy at least 10 and make sure your getting NEW and UNUSED stamps, you will see it has 2 lines through the dollar symbol unlike regular $ used on other 1 dollar stamps. "IT IS THE ONLY STAMP THAT WILL WORK" for registering a contract into Admiralty under the provision of the Universal Postal Union.

 

Now that you got your STAMPs its time to compleat the BoL. as in the sample place a stamp on your BoL giving room for the Postal cancellation your finger print and your Autograph, do not let any of this touch the boarder and make sure the Postal Clerk places his cancellation just like the sample image.

 

Now put one RA sticker on your BoL as showen in the sample, now if its a RB or RR thats ok but it must match the card, now if they only give you one number sticker you can make your own or type it on your BoL after you receive it back but mine came with 2.

 

Now pay close attention to this part " put the BoL and the Register Card with the other sticker inside your per addressed envelope. Take this down to the Post Office to get the Stamp Cancelled. "DO NOT PULL OUT THE WHOLE BoL OUT FOR THE POST MASTER TO SEE, ONLY PULL OUT A LITTLE SO HE CAN SEE THE FLAG AND THE STAMP" do not let him or her read your content, show them where you would like the cancellation to be. After they cancel it, it must be mailed! So seal in the envelope and send it Certified Mail as stated above too yourself or a close friend.

 

When you receive it back in a few days you can open it because this is not the finished BoL yet there is 2 more thing you will need to do.

 

First you must AUTOGRAPH through and over the Cancellation and Stamp as shown in the sample " DO NOT TOUCH THE BOARDER" so pratice autographing a few times before you do the real thing on your BoL ( USE RED INK ). the put a little finger print in Red Ink as shown in sample touching the stamp and the cancellation, THIS SHOULD BE SMALL not a huge thing, remember to pratice all this a few time before you do it on the real thing on your BoL, keep it perfect.

 

Now its done and ready to be COPIED, take it to a copy store and make a dozen or more, the more the better, remember not to mix up the original with the copys,

 

Final Step

 

On your second envelope address from you and mail it too you, use address typed labels it look better, put the original Bol inside and seal the envelope. Take it down to the Post Office with your

Registered Mail Card and the last RA number sticker and have the Post Master prepare it for Registered Mail, he will tape all edges and stamp over the tape. " Make sure he tapes all edges and seams and stamps it" some are lazy so if they dont ask then too tape all edges and seams and place cancellations, use the Registered Mail Card you brought to send it. "DO NOT USE ANOTHER OR DIFFERENT Registered Mail Card" or your screwed. Registered Numbers on the inside on the BoL must match numbers on outside.

 

Now sit back and wait for it to come back to you in the mail. When it arrives,

 

"DO NOT OPEN IT OR ITS DEAD AND NO GOOD"  if you do you will have to start all over.
